Thailand Photo Diary
A few of my favourite moments from our time on Koh Samui, Thailand...the island is such a vibrant, beautiful place to explore - it is lovely to spend time relaxing in the resorts, but my favourite part is always exploring the cities & not as touristy area's.
A few must see's while in Koh Samui ~
Fisherman's Village:
Located in Bo Phut, there are tons of shops & restaurants where you can get some delicious food (Banana Pancakes and Fresh Coconut Ice Cream served in a coconut shell are my two favourites) and it is still located right on the beach, so you can enjoy the view from many of the restaurant patio's (and more often than not, even sit to eat right on the sand!) This is also where you can book tons of excursions for snorkling/hiking etc. If you head in for dinner, my favourite spot is Coco Tam's - They have swings as bar benches, tons of beds on the beach where you can lounge while you sip on your cocktail, and they even set up a screen to play movies on the beach!
Temples & Wats :
Thailand is home to many old Buddist Temples, but by far the most impressive is definitely Wat Plai Lan, a temple featuring the 18 armed Goddess of Mercy & Passion (make sure to bring a long sleeve & pants if you want to actually go into the Temple)
Next up, Bali!
