Aix En Provence.
After our adventure in Cannes we took the train to Aix en Provence, and it was like a Fairytale!
We arrived at Hotel Pigonnet and it looked like a castle, it was so breathtaking. It is one of the many hotels included in the Small Luxury Hotel Family (I stayed in a few on my last trip to Europe in Italy & Greece and they are always the best!) and it was the perfect spot to relax after the business of Cannes. They have a stunning garden and outside terrace & a lovely pool that was just so nice to hang out at and soak up the summer sunshine. The coolest thing? The artist Paul Cézanne walked in the hotel's gardens and admired & painted the Sainte-Victoire Mountain - one of his most recognized collection of paintings. Amazing!!
I was so happily surprised by all of the sunshine that we got and was so happy that I packed along my Guerlain Terracotta Huile Sous Le Vent...it is the perfect the best lightweight oil that you can use for your hair & body (so great for travel) and the blend of ylang ylang, orange blossom & vanilla notes smell so wonderful, it is definitely my beauty must have for summer (and travel!)
We also headed into town to explore, and the old town was full of beautiful tones & small winding street - so much fun to wander through.
More coming from France next!
