I visited Kauai for the first time on this trip, and it was absolutely amazing! I am already dreaming about when I can head back...

It was such a nice change from Oahu -Kauai is definitely a much quieter island, with more mom & pops shops, and where everyone moves just a little bit slower.

Allison and I were there for three days, and we were busy from sun-up to sundown and still have a list as long as my arm of places we wanted to visit -it is full of amazing waterfalls & hikes and views...so much to experience.

Some of my favourite places we adventured were

Na'Pali Coast State Park - Where Jurassic Park was filmed...it is one of the most beautiful places I have seen! The view is breathtaking - We entered the park and hiked along the ridge to watch the sunset, but you can also find beaches that are at the base of the mountains and you can take a helicopter ride over it all - that is on my list for next time!

Wailua Falls - The view of the falls from the top is beautiful, BUT, if you are feeling adventurous you can climb down (about 15 minutes) to the actual waterfall base where you can stand under the water! We spent so much time here, it was so cool to be so close to the falls.

Queen's Bath - There are the coolest water pools that you can float around in...there are even some area's you can jump off into the water. A beautiful spot, but make sure to check the tide and be safe - the water can come in quickly!

Java Kai - Really great coffee & breakfast - I loved the Coconut Late & Acai bowls :)

Manawaiopuna Falls - (Featured in Jurassic Park) view point - you can drive through what looks like the desert on the way to the Na'Pali coast and take in the amazing views of the waterfalls from the road. They also offer many helicopter rides to see the falls from above, so cool!

Princeville - There are a ton of turtles swimming in the waters in Princeville- A great place to go snorkelling or bring your underwater camera!
