Oahu is such an amazing island because it has so many places to explore and so much to do!

You definitely need to have a car when you visit the island, though, if you really want to be able to see and do everything it has to offer. We stayed in Kailua (such a cute town with really lovely shops and spots to eat and the prettiest beach!) but drove up to the North Shore a few times during our visit because there is tons to do there, and of course, in between!

The Billabong Pipe Masters was going on while we were there, so we visited the Banzai Pipeline Beach to watch some of the surfers. Close to the Pipeline at Sunset beach there is the best food truck, The Sunrise Shack that has delicious snacks (the best coconut I've ever had!) and coffee, a perfect snack stop if you are spending the day on the beach.

Another great spot to grab an Acaii Bowl on the way to the North Shore is in Haleiwa at Haleiwa Bowls...they are so good!

Another great beach to visit is La'ie Beach...it has a trampoline in the water! Sadly it was broken when we were there, but it looks like so much fun.

Hawaii definitely offers a ton of hikes and waterfalls to visit, and on a rainy day, we decided to hike to Hamama Falls. It was breathtaking! We were actually the only ones there so it felt so surreal (it looked like Jurrasic Park or Lost - So wild!) and it felt so nice to get off of the beaten path and explore a little bit.

More to come from Oahu,
