Santa Monica is one of the most beautiful areas in L.A, and I absolutely love getting to stay right by the ocean. This last trip I was lucky enough to get to stay directly across the street from the ocean at the beautiful Fairmont Miramar, and it was such an unforgettable stay!

The Fairmont Miramar has several different room types that you can choose, from a traditional hotel room to a more apartment feeling room to where we stayed, the bungalows - Which are by far and away my favourite! The bungalows are situated behind the pool, surrounded by lush greenery (even in January) and palm trees -just walking to the bungalow area instantly makes you feel like you are on vacation!

Staying in the bungalow made me feel like I had my own private beach house ~They are beautifully designed and decorated so you feel like you have your very own super cool L.A home away from home. It was so lovely waking up each morning and having a cup of coffee on our deck, hearing the waves crash from the beach - It was such a dream, and it is the only room I will book from now on when I stay! So happy.

The Fairmont Miramar was also our one stop shop for food as well - The Fig Restaurant was so delicious and was where we had breakfast every morning before heading out to explore L.A for the day. The staff was so accommodating & so friendly, the location was beautiful (it is right beside the pool and there is indoor and outdoor seating, and the interior is decorated beautifully!) and the food, well, the food was so delicious. I had a bowl of fresh berries everyday with yogurt & honey- So good!!

My favourite spot, at the Fairmont Miramar, though? The Bungalow!! It is the coolest bar/restaurant I have ever visited, and even if you are not staying at The Fairmont Miramar, it is a MUST visit.

The location is so cool - You walk through the gate and it feels like you are entering a friend's REALLY nice home ~

They have multiple rooms filled with the coolest decor I have seen (they have vintage couches & artwork including original Playboy magazines which I just loved) that have pool tables, dart boards, areas to sit & lounge, and areas just to hang out, and then they have an entire outdoor area that feels like a luxurious L.A backyard, with twinkling lights intertwined throughout the trees and a fun surfer vibe bar with couches and chairs surrounding the area to encourage you to just hang out and relax.

They have delicious (strong!) cocktails & the best thing on the menu ever- A plate of cookies!! I can spend hours here, and we were lucky enough to get some time before it opened to take some shots around the rooms & at the bar, so you can really get a feeling for what the space looks like in the daytime. So cool.

A few things I didn't get to get a picture of, but that we also loved was the Glam + Go Bar, a new blow dry bar situated right inside the Fairmont so you can get your hair freshened up when you get back from the beach before you go out for the night - and they also have really fun sit down scooters that you can use to buzz around the Santa Monica pier & area...Really fun & makes exploring the area between Santa Monica & Venice beach really easy.

Thank you so much to the Fairmont Miramar for having us - It was such an amazing experience and they took such fantastic care of us~ We will be back soon!
