Costa Rica has long been on my travel wish list, so I was very excited to have the opportunity to travel there this February!

We began our adventure in the Mal Pais area, staying at the dreamiest hotel, Ocio by Casa Chameleon.

Casa Chameleon has a main hotel in Mal Pais (as well as another property in the Guanacaste area), but we stayed at one of their three Private Villas -and it was amazing!

Mal Pais is the one of the more lush area's in Costa Rica (even though it was the dry season while we were visiting, there were still so much greenery it was gorgeous) and the Ocio Villa makes you feel like you are staying in the middle of the jungle~You can hear the birds chirping in the morning (as well as the howler monkey's!) and you wake up looking out over the ocean, it is the happiest spot.

Our villa was a dream home - The inside/outside living is always my favourite way to be, with a living & dining room outdoors and a wall of doors in the bedrooms that fully open so you can have an open bedroom with an ocean view. Breathtaking!!

We also have a full kitchen set up at our villa so we were able to have lots of drinks & snacks on hand as well when we didn't feel like venturing out of our little paradise. It would be the best spot for a family get together or wedding - There are three villa's in total at Casa Chameleon, so if you rented all three it would make the ultimate getaway spot for a group!

My favourite part about the villa was definitely the pool - It was huge and overlooked the amazing view - We spent as much time as we could there relaxing and just enjoying the feeling of being in nature.

Because the villas themselves are so private, we had an ATV to get us around which was so much fun! At first I was so nervous, but an hour into driving I never wanted to get off!

We drove to have breakfast in the morning at Casa Chameleon (where I had the best Huevos Rancheros I've ever had, I ate them every morning along with fresh fruit & fresh juice, it was amazing! Also, the staff took amazing care of us and were always so friendly & welcoming) and we drove our ATV to the beach (about a 15 minute drive down the hill) and into the cutest town, Santa Teresa (more on that coming up).

I definitely never wanted to leave our Ocio Villa, it was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in, and I loved every minute!

Much more from Costa Rica coming up,

xo
